May 15, 2020

The demolition of the Bingara pool and wading pool commenced this week. The construction of the 25 metre pool and splash program pool is expected to commence early June.

The Bingara Pool Precinct project is being funding from a number of sources including the Federal Government’s Drought Communities Program Round 2 and Aus Sport Program and the NSW Government’s Stronger Country Communities Fund Round 1, Create NSW – Big River Dreaming funding application and the Local Drought Stimulus Program.

The 25 metre pool will have 6 lanes and an access ramp, a 2.5 metre deep end and a step entry. There will be a bigger area at the southern end of the pool which will be very beneficial for swimming carnivals as it will allow for a larger marshalling area.

The splash program pool will have a number of interactive water features and sprays, a super soaker bucket and a 60cm deep area for toddlers to learn to become familiar with water by floating and blowing bubbles. The designs for the pool and splash program pool are currently being finalised with key stakeholders.
