Bingara Show Society looking for new members

June 28, 2018

The Annual General Meeting for the Bingara Show Society is coming up, and all positions will be declared vacant. Current Show Society Secretary, Robyn Phillips, who has held the position for six years, has announced her retirement.

The Bingara Show for 2019 without the positions, especially a show secretary, being filled will not be able to be held. It is a very busy time for the show committee, and with community support, it’s a worthwhile thing to do.

The 2018 show was a great show, with a very strong and good committee. After an absence of many years, Poultry made a very welcome return to the show. A range of entertainment was provided, and cattle, sheep and horses were all included to make the show a success.

The pavilion was also a success. As years go by, displays evolve, with different sections gaining popularity at the expense of others which are less popular.

The success of the show relies heavily on the strength of its committee, so a good attendance is important. If you have seen interesting events or displays at other shows which you think may be a good fit for the Bingara Show Society, please attend the meeting, Thursday 12 July commencing at 7pm. All welcome.
