Amber Lawrence returning to Bingara Central for fundraiser
Popular singer, Amber Lawrence is returning to Bingara at the end of this month. She will be performing an outdoor concert at the Bingara Central School, to raise money to buy equipment for special needs students at the school.
The event, presented by the P&C, also features local artist, Clare Mead. Also performing will be Shark Bait, a band of specially chosen and highly talented Bingara musicians including Scot Crispin, Wayne Galvin, Stefan West and Chris Shaw. As the event is on school grounds, no alcohol is allowed.
There will be plenty of kids’ activities. Like Opera in the Paddock, people attending are asked to bring a chair or blanket. With two golden guitars to her credit, getting Amber Lawrence, Australian country music artist, to Bingara is an achievement, but not surprising. She is the Ambassador for Special Needs, has been Australia Day Ambassador for Bingara, and visited Bingara Central School a couple of time in recent years. While no definite ‘wish list’ has been finalised, the school hopes to buy some outdoor equipment with the money raised.
