Buy a daffodil for someone you know on Friday, 25 August
25/08/2017

Daffodil Day, a national day of hope for a cancer-free future, takes place on Friday, 25 August this year. People across New England and North West NSW are encouraged to support the event by volunteering, buying merchandise or making a donation.

This year marks 31 years of Daffodil Day in NSW.  As one of the largest national fundraising event in the Southern Hemisphere, this year Cancer Council hopes to raise $2.1 million in NSW.

In the Northern region alone, it is estimated that approximately 7563 people will be diagnosed with cancer in a single year. By supporting Cancer Council NSW this Daffodil Day, people will be helping to beat cancer by funding vital cancer research, support services, prevention programs and advocacy campaigns.

This year’s theme is “For Someone I Know” – by showing support for someone you know, you can help beat cancer and create a better, cancer-free future for all.
