Live Performance – “Louisiana Ladies”
14/02/2020 - 16/02/2020

The North West Theatre Company is starting 2020 with a beautiful comedy play “Louisiana Ladies”. It is a radio play for voices inspired by Robert Harling’s wonderful stage play and movie “Steel Magnolias”.

Six ‘southern belles’, friends and work colleagues, meet every week at Truvy’s hair salon. On the first day of the play there are two special people introduced, Annelle, Truvy’s new apprentice, and Shelby the lovely daughter of M’Lynn Eatenton. It is Shelby’s wedding day and Truvy will “have to do something special with her hair!” as well as attending to the other ladies, so she and Annelle will be “busy as bees in a honey pot”.

Also attending the salon that day are friends and neighbours Clairee and Ouiser, each with their own special interests and strong opinions. The story unfolds over the following year as wonderful and tragic events impact on the Louisiana Ladies.

Come and see the talented actors and crew of the NWTC and taste the cooking skills of the Bingara Lion’s Club for a great theatrical and culinary experience at the beautiful Roxy Theatre.
