The Munro State Forest picnic area and lookout are located 37km east of Bingara. The site gives a fantastic view to the west and south west of the Bingara district overlooking much of the property ‘Keera’ down the Gwydir River Valley below Copeton Dam. The lookout is situated on what is part of the extreme western edge of the northern tablelands area.

Walking along the forestry tracks you will discover mossy glens, massive granite tors and outcrops as well as an abundance of flora and fauna. |

| Take a short drive – or very steep walk if you are feeling very energetic – along the Keera Road to Batterham Lookout, where you will experience breathtaking views over the town and district. |
