Welcome to Bingara Community College

Bingara Community College (BCC) provides a broad range of quality Adult and Community Education programs in co-operation with schools and where appropriate other organisations.

We are based in the Gwydir Learning Centre (St Mary’s), 6 Riddell St, Bingara and our office is open 10am to 12.30pm.  The facility offers a conference room and a computer room and the BCC has other venues available where necessary or more appropriate.

The conference room seats up to 20 and is available for training, meetings, seminars and conferences.  The computer room offers 10 computers including internet availability and seats 10 or more face to face.  The BCC also has a data projector, DVD with HDD and 42” (107cm) wide colour screen.  We are able to co-ordinate refreshments and can recommend accommodation for course attendees.

Bingara Community College works with other Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) such as ATAC (Australian Training and Consulting); Northern Inland, New England and Tamworth Community Colleges; and other training organisations such as DTCM (David Madigan) and Beneficial Safety.

2010 has been a busy year for the Community College with refurbishment transforming the standard of service provided.  Some of this year's activities can be seen on our Web Gallery.

TLFC Funding

TLFC Funding acknowledgmentThe Bingara Community College recently received funding under the Commonwealth Government Infrastructure funding initiative; Investing in Community Education and Training (ICET). This funding has meant that the refurbishment of the Regional Learning Centre (St Marys) has been able to go ahead.

This is great news for the people of Bingara as the BCC will be able to offer even better learning options with first-class facilities.

Images charting the progress of the refurbishment can be seen below.
This project is funded by the Australian Government through the Teaching and Learning Capital Fund (TLFC) for Vocational Education and Training (VET).

The interior of the craft shed will shortly be lined for the  comfort of users.

Start of the new Craft shed The new Craft shed is finished, much to the delight of those who participate in the weekly craft lessons.
Students enjoy the fantastic facilities, with everything they use being new.
