"Classmates” and “Conversations” were the two themes which featured at the final opening for 2011 at Ceramic Break Sculpture Park on Sunday.  Like all of Kerry Cannon’s exhibition openings, it was a day of fun and entertainment with some strong art-works from the Warialda High School HSC students and oil paintings by Cairns based artist Justin Bishop.

The North West Theatre Company successfully launched their six month 2011 season  recently, with 23 members enjoying a screening of “the worlds greatest –ever movie” Citizen Kane”, the best-ever cartoon, “Rabbit of Seville” and a short documentary on iconic beach Bondi.  Members  then enjoyed supper, and a movie quiz on Citizen Kane, in the Roxy Café.

Bingara Soprano, Lexi Hutton, finished in second place in the Operetta section at the 30th International Hans Gabor Belvedere Singing Competition in Vienna, Austria.  Over a thousand people from five continents auditioned for this competition.

The North West Theatre Company Film Club launched this week with the announcement of the first six month program. Sunday July 24 will be the first session screening followed by a monthly movie program on the last Sunday of each month. Most screening will commence in the late afternoon.
