Double B Beef is an association of beef producers focused on improving their businesses by better marketing, education and communication.  Group membership exceeds 40 and comprises cattle producers who hail from some of the best cattle properties in Northern NSW and beyond. 

Our producers enjoy the advantage of some of the world's finest grasslands and healthiest cattle raising country.  They are committed to ensuring a consistent supply of a premium product of highest eating quality.

Double B Beef's success is proved by our longevity and by our excellent reputation throughout the cattle industry.

Since inception, the Association has taken a leading role in beef industry developments including hide improvement for the leather industry; animal welfare; supply chain alliances; on farm productivity improvements; transport efficiency; quality assurance; selling strategies and managing risk.

Cattle producer members of the Association now significantly rely on its innovative marketing services. Double B Beef is nationally recognised in the beef industry and membership gives individual producers better returns, new markets and reduced personal stress, through Group Marketing.

The core of Double B is its Committee which currently comprises 12 members.  This includes 9 group members, an executive officer, the Group's Marketer and NSW DPI's local Beef Cattle Officer.
 

The Committee meets bi-monthly and works tirelessly to plan
and implement the Group's activities for the year.

When first formed, Double B was focused on a number of initiatives to promote the beef industry in the Bingara/Barraba region of northern NSW. Now, the group has members throughout northern NSW including areas such as Wee Waa, Narrabri, Walcha, Boggabri and Bonville.

Members choose to be part of the group for many reasons.  Not all choose to market their cattle through the group, although around half do, and of those many market 100% of their turnover  Others choose to be members of Double B as it offers them opportunities for education, and to socialise and interact with like minded producers.
