Secondary students from Bingara Central and Warialda High attended national youth week activities at Bingara School last Friday week. There were guest speakers from UNE, Hunter New England Health, Healthwise and Headspace speaking on issues young people face regularly.
The main guest speaker was Sam Bailey from Warialda. A farmer, pilot, husband and bestselling author, Sam has achieved all this from a wheel chair.
Sam, pictured below with his wife, Jenny, and the students, takes his audience on a journey of his life, and on Friday had his student audience spellbound. His story caused laughter and tears, and the theme of his talk emphasised everyone should appreciate what they have in life and realise nothing is impossible.
Sam emphasised to his audience that everyone needs family, friends and community.
