Locals ‘do their bit’ for drought

August 2, 2018

With 99 percent of New South Wales in severe drought, Bingara Wattle Arts and Crafts have instigated a collection of groceries, toiletries, and money to assist farmers battling drought.

Unfortunately, perishable items requiring refrigeration cannot be accepted. Items can be left at the Bingara Wattle shop, the Bingara Laundromat or with Jacquie Breneger at Sew Much More.

Distribution of the goods collected will be in the hands of the Salvation Army and with Council’s Social Services Manager, Suzy Webber.

The start of what the directors of Bingara Wattle Arts and Crafts hope will be a useful donation to those ‘doing it tough’ on the land.
