Sell out crowd for Gosforth’s Fete

February 19, 2015

The Roxy Theatre was filled with a crowd of extremely giggly people on Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon during a show that locals are dubbing “one of the funniest performances they’ve seen.”

Those who attended the North West Theatre Company’s latest production ‘Gosforth’s Fete’ were extremely pleased with the quality of the performance as well as the impressive High Tea which followed.

Each of the two performances were ‘sell outs’ and attracted people from Lightning Ridge, Gunnedah, Glen Innes, Blue Mountains, Newcastle, and across the immediate region including Inverell, Manilla, Barraba, Moree and Narrabri.

“The reputation of the NWTC has continued to spread as it always delivers a highly professional show,” said Producer Carmen Southwell.

“The company members are qualified experts in hair, make up, sound, lighting, direction and costume which is a rare combination especially for a small community like Gwydir.

“Adding to the company’s capacity is the tremendous support which it receives from businesses in both Bingara and Warialda, and its close relationship with Gwydir Shire Council and Roxy management.”

Audience members thoroughly enjoyed the performances. Local business owner, Rodney King enjoyed the evening with his staff.

“It was a hilarious night,” said Rod. “I think Bingara tends to take the NWTC for granted. It is only when you attend their productions that you appreciate the work that goes into creating a high quality performance such as this one.

Young Bingara local, Briana Middlemiss was extremely impressed with the performance. “I thoroughly enjoyed the show,” said Briana.

“It was very funny and the NWTC is a great asset to the community. Denise Danby also found the show very funny.

“It was a very entertaining and professional performance,” said Denise. Gosforth’s Fete is highly recommended.

The last performance is this Saturday at 7.30pm.

It is a catered event so bookings are essential. Tea and coffee is provided and those attending are welcome to bring their own drinks.
