March 7, 2019

Postponed due to cast illness!

With that title, this theatrical offering just has to be a comedy. The next theatrical production from the North West Theatre Company is Australian playwright Elizabeth Coleman’s wonderful contemporary play, “It’s My Party … and I’ll Die if I Want To!”

When father Ron Patterson suddenly calls all of his family together for an evening of “Sausage rolls and Saladas”, what are the other members of this typical Australian family, to think?

Ron (Rick Hutton) has always ‘ruled the roost’ at home. Mother Dawn (Lee Loudon) is his timidly agreeable wife. Eldest child Michael (Stu Devlin) has been married for nine years without starting a family. Elder daughter Debbie (Tanya Heaton) has been single for many years and seems to be very satisfied with her life choices, and younger daughter Karen (Monica Coddington) is about to beat her older sister to the altar. All of the family have reasons NOT to be there, but family duty and expectations bring them all together for a night of craziness, revelations, and twists and turns which will have the audience in stitches.

Opening night for the production, Directed by Terry Brady, will be Saturday March 30 at the Roxy Theatre, Bingara at 7:30pm.
