2016 Pink Breakfast held at Bingara Central

October 27, 2016

Community members of Bingara, both young and old, have again embraced the “Pink Breakfast”.

This year it was held at a different venue. Bingara Central School held the ninth annual breakfast, with the quadrangle looking “in the pink”!

Organisers were thrilled with the way the community supported this very worthy cause.

Donations were gratefully received from IGA, Bingara Bakery, Meat on Maitland, the Cancer Council, the Shire, community members who gave their time to help and chicken eggs donated from many people in the community. Members of Bingara MPS Staff and the School Staff worked hard and provided a wonderful breakfast, along with the Bingara Lions Club and several students who cooked up delicious barbecued food. Mention was made of the tasty muffins made and donated by Mrs Lindy Mill and Mrs Jane Kidman.

Pink Ribbon BrekkyMrs Chris Whitfeld (Pictured opposite left) from the school mentioned how Tiffany Galvin (pictured opposite right) from the MPS has been the driving force behind the breakfast for the nine years it has been held. For eight years Erik and Noelene Ozols from the Imperial Hotel have hosted this event.

Throughout the morning some raffles were run. The Community Comfort raffle was won by Rebecca Mack.

So again Bingara has shown its generous spirit.
