Two hundred and forty two Angus Bulls are to be sold at this year’s annual Booroomooka Angus Bull Sale which is to be held on the Property Keera at 12 noon on Friday 18th August. The Bulls will be yarded and available for inspection from 9am. The Westpac Helicopter Support Group will be catering for morning tea and lunch. Stud Principal, Sinclair Munro says “The charity is vital for our area, and it is a credit to the volunteers of the group”.

To save time on sale day, buyers can Pre-Register by filling out the Buyer Rego form on Page 80 of the sale catalogue or at www.booroomooka.com.au. Alternatively buyers can register on the day of the sale.

Sinclair Munro says buyers have a quality choice of bulls that are leading in growth, calving ease, fertility and carcase traits. One hundred and sixty five bulls are better than breed average for calving ease, 216 are better than breed average for growth and 211 Bulls are better than breed average for marbling!

All the sale bulls are rigorously selected for structural soundness, type and temperament. The bulls have been independently structurally assessed and are ‘ready to work’. All bulls have passed a Veterinary Bull Breeding Soundness Examination (BBSE) by Dr Ben Gardiner. They are tested PI free of pesti virus, vaccinated for vibriosis and 7 in 1.

The Booroomooka Cow Herd is unique, developed over 92 years on hilly native grass country. The cows are resilient – adapted to cope with lower quality native grasses and seasonal fluctuations. Industry leading sires are used in the herd to produce bulls that meet customer requirements.
