A tea and dance party to celebrate Seniors Week

March 11, 2012

Bingara Home and community Care is celebrating NSW Seniors Week by providing a NSW Seniors week Afternoon Tea Dance on Wednesday March 21, 2012.

This event will be held at the Bingara Returned Services Club in the auditorium, from 2pm to 5pm. Featuring Bingara’s wonderful local entertainers, Helen and Tony Cornish, it is an afternoon treat not to be missed.

“Our NSW Seniors Week Event in Bingara gives us the opportunity to provide great entertainment, with the trimmings of a traditional tea dance to the senior members of our community. It is a very important part of our H.A.C.C. Calendar and it is always a lovely occasion,” said Bingara Home and community Care Coordinator, Lenore Kennedy.

The event is free to seniors but bookings are essential. Please contact the Bingara H.A.C.C office on 6724 1948 to secure a place.

Come and listen to the music, dance, talk with old and new friends and share in a delicious spread of slices and sandwiches.

Over 900 events are planned for 2012 Seniors Week which runs from March 18 to 25.

Using the ‘Live Life’ theme, it is the biggest celebration for seniors in the southern hemisphere.

NSW Seniors Week is funded by the NSW Government and organized by Ageing, Disability and Home Care (ADHC) to celebrate, recognize and thank seniors across the State for the contributions they provide to the community. The free official event program will be available from late February at Clubs NSW member clubs. More NSW Seniors Week events can be found at www.nswsen-iorsweek.com.au/whats_on.
