Auditions for “Love Letters” this Saturday

October 17, 2011

Auditions will be held this coming Saturday, October 22nd for the North West Theatre Company’s production of the one act play “Love Letters” by American playwright A R Gurney.

This play requires two actors, a man and a woman, between the ages of 30 and 70, to perform the roles. The players “read” the sequence of letters sent between the two. Beginning as school friends and neighbours, they progress their relationship, through teen years to adulthood, and on into middle age, always as close as their letters, but never physically near.

Our Director is Terry Brady from Sydney, and he will craft the performances, to ensure a highly entertaining and emotional ride through the lives of the characters. Auditions will be open to all and will take place at the Roxy Theatre on Saturday October 22 from 10am to 2pm.

If you would like to audition for “Love Letter”, please contact NWTC President John Wearne on 67 241585, or Secretary Ros Moulton, on 67 241613 for more details, and to arrange for an audition time.

“Love Letters” will be part of a two play program on November 5 & 6, 11, 12 & 13 at the Roxy Theatre in Bingara. The two Sunday performances will be matinees at 2:30pm with the other shows, evening ones, at 7:30pm. Tickets for the program are available through the Bingara Tourist Office on 67 240066.
