“Aurora” Project leader to present at Energy Forum

David Fewchuk will be a special guest presenter and dinner speaker at the Regenerative Energy for Rural Communities Forum to be held in Bingara on July 17 and 18. David has had a lifetime career in the automotive industry having worked 28 years with the Ford Motor Company.

His assignments have included major project work in new model vehicles in USA, Australia, the Philippines and Japan. He has also led two major export initiatives for the Australian automotive components industry which generated an increase in export performance of $1billion per year.

For the past twelve years David has been in charge of the Aurora Vehicle Association, a group dedicated to exploring the boundaries of efficient transportation. This included developing petrol fuel economy specials which pushed the world record to 5107 miles per gallon.

More recently Aurora has developed into the most accomplished solar car development team in the world.. It has developed the most efficient electric wheel-motors, extreme aerodynamics, and lightweight materials achieving a solar car which needs just 1500 watts to travel at 100 kph.

David is at the forefront of future vehicle developments and represents Australia at international forums dedicated to responding effectively to the ongoing fuel crisis affecting the world economy. He will be the after dinner speaker at the Energy Forum.
