SRC Badge Ceremony
Last Friday we held our SRC badge ceremony outside under the ‘hayshed’. We welcomed our special visitors that included members of the National Servicemen’s Association, Deputy Mayor Catherine Egan, Regional SRC co-ordinator Chris Osbourne, school patrons and family members of the SRC.
All speakers recognised the importance of student leadership and the SRC within the school and at a regional level. This years SRC, like in previous years, is committed to improving the opportunity for students both within school and in our local community.
I would like to recognise the long association between the school and the NASHOS at this ceremony and thank them for their presentation to the school to mark the 15th anniversary of their reunion in Bingara.

Last Monday afternoon the AGM of the school P&C was held and a new executive elected for 2010. The executive is:-
President: Suzie Bilsborough
Vice President: Fiona McGowan
Secretary: Michelle Bowrey
Treasurer: Nelp Armstrong
Suzie, Fiona and Nelp were re-elected for another year and I sincerely welcome Michelle to the team. I look forward to working with this executive and feel confident that they will continue, as with previous P&C executive, to provide strong support for the school and to persue initiatives that will contribute in a positive way to the achievements of all Bingara Central School students.
I would like to thank the outgoing executive for their leadership in 2009. The P&C made a significant contribution to the school, particularly in mplementing a new school uniform and contributions for new technology.
The canteen, under the management of Narelle Watts, continues to provide excellent service to our students and I would like to thank all the volunteers both in the canteen and at other P&C fundraising activities for their efforts throughout the year.
