CROSS COUNTRY
An excellent Cross Country was held on the Golf Course on the afternoon of May 6. Classes from Year 3 to Year 12 participated on a picturesque course. Thank you to the Sporting Club for allowing us access. The whole school was able to start at the one time with two, three and four kilometre courses for appropriate age groups.

The sunny and warm conditions saw excellent participation by students (and some willing staff members) and many parents took advantage of the high ground along Keera Street to spectate the event.

Well done to Mr McGowan and Mr Alliston for organising the event congratulations to those students who finished with a result to get them to the next round of the competition. Final placings will be awarded at a school assembly to recognise the achievement of students in each age group.

NAPLAN
Australia wide testing of Literacy and Numeracy for students in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 will take place at school next week. The order will be writing on Tuesday, reading on Wednesday and numeracy on Thursday.

Teachers have been working with students in classes over recent weeks to help them to be well prepared for the tests.

All tests are marked at a central location and results will be presented to parents and the school later in the year.

Good luck to all the students and I look forward to seeing results which accurately show students abilities at this time.
