VARIETY NIGHT
The annual Variety Night performance was held at the Roxy on Monday of this week. Variety Night provides an excellent opportunity for all students from Kindergarten to Year 12 to participate and enjoy the experience of performing on stage in front of an audience which filled the Roxy.

The audience were treated to some great class performances which included dance, poetry, and songs. There was also individual performances in dance, music and bush poetry. The evening commenced with the big band sound of the Gwydir Band which really set up an evening of quality performances. The finale, keeping up with tradition, was provided by ‘The Aggies’ with their unique style of comedy.

The P & C provided an excellent supper and appreciated the donations and generosity of so many people.

A successful evening such as this does not just happen and a big vote of appreciation went to producer Mr Scot Crispin for a very well run and presented evening and to Mr Martin Hansford and ‘Wombat Tracks’ for technical support. Congratulations go to all the students, staff and parents who contributed to a wonderful evening of entertainment.

YEAR 12 FORMAL
Last night a formal evening was held to recognise the conclusion of 13 years of schooling for Year 12, 2009. This was a very significant evening, not just for these students, but for Bingara Central School, as this is the first class to complete their HSC here following the decision two years ago to create senior classes.

The auditorium at the RSL was filled with students from Year 10 to Year 12, parents, friends and school staff. The atmosphere was very positive and everyone looked great in their formal wear and ‘masks’.

Congratulations to these students on their completion of 13 years of schooling. HSC exams begin in Week 1 of Term 4 and the whole school wishes the graduating class of 2009 every success in the future.
