GOLD LEVEL AWARDS
Congratulations to Emma McDouall and Latrelle McLachlan for being the first Primary students to achieve their Gold Level Award this year.

To achieve this award both these students have received their Bronze and Silver Awards and have now completed their Gold Level chart. Their goal now will be to complete their Award of Excellence chart before the end of this term so that their excellent work and application can be recognised at Presentation Night. For students to complete their level charts they  must demonstrate their capacity in the five keys to success.

The keys are Getting Along, Persistence, Resilience, Organisation and Confidence. Many other students are well on their way to achieving their Gold Awards and it is always pleasing to see students recognised and rewarded for their continued effort. There will be two reward day activities for Primary and Infants students this term and I encourage all students to show their most cooperative behaviour at this busy time of the year so that they can join in the fun.

PINK RIBBON DAY
Bingara Central School is going pink this Friday 30th October. We are joining Bingara Community Health staff and the Imperial Hotel in the town fund raising effort for Breast Cancer awareness. Teachers and students are wearing pink and making a gold coin donation.

The pink theme will extend to recess when students can purchase a pink cake and watermelon for $1 while staff enjoy the fundraising morning tea catered for by the Imperial Hotel. This should be a fun day while at the same time raising awareness of the incidence of breast cancer in our community and contributing funds to research looking for a cure. I look forward to a ‘sea of pink’ in the playground and all donations will be contributed to the town appeal.
