The Festive season is fast approaching, and the Gwydir Shire Special Events and Tourism Committee, along with the Bingara Lions Club have been busily preparing for the 2012 Bingara Christmas Carnival.
The Christmas Carnival will be held on Thursday 13th December in Maitland Street.
The main event will be Carols by Candlelight from 6:30pm to 9:00pm. A great number of talented acts from Bingara and surrounding area have committed to the concert and Santa has been booked to appear at 7:30pm.
The Special Events Committee will be selling glow in the dark and LED light up toys on the night to ensure Maitland Street is glowing with Christmas cheer.
The Lions Club will again be delivering the giant Christmas tree to the new look Fays Park, which will be lit at the conclusion of the carols performance.
Businesses will remain open until late with lots of bargains and wonderful gift ideas to be found on the night.
