Bingara community groups share over $700 in CPA program

Bingara Pony Club and United Hospital Auxiliaries of Bingara are amongst eight local organisations who share a total of $710.00 through this year’s Community Partnership Account (CPA) annual donations. Other recipients include Friends of Touriandi, Gwydir Rugby Club and Lions Club just to name a few.

New England Mutual Branch Manager Chris Kneller said the program allows members to get behind local organisations and charities that are close to their hearts. “Our Community Partnership Account allows our members to fundraise for local charities that they are passionate about, without the hard work.”

“We even pay the annual bonus on the members behalf, it’s as easy as opening an account and choosing the organisation they’d like to see receive a cash bonus,” she said.

The CPA was introduced in 2009 allowing New England Mutual’s members to play a part in community giving, actively choosing where they wish to see the money go.

“Our members receive a competitive interest rate whilst giving to the local community, and local charities can really benefit as a result,” she said.

At the end of the financial year the nominated organisation receives a figure equivalent to one per cent of members’ average annual balances, the contribution at no cost to nominating members.
