Aged Care Assessment Team

For patients who have no complicating health problems (such as diabetes) and is available by appointment only. Clinics held Wednesday afternoon from 1 to 4pm. Podiatrist is not available. Please phone 6728 0130.

Bingo Clinic

Players of Bingo at the RSL Club are now able to have their Blood Pressure checked on a monthly basis prior to commencement of the game. Staff will set up outside the auditorium on the first Thursday of each month, so come say hello and have your BP checked.

Cardiac Rehabilitation Program

This Program is available at Bingara Community Health. A GP referral is required. Please phone 6728 0130.

Community Nurses Drop-in Clinic

The Bingara Community Health Centre is open Monday to Friday 8.30am to10am. The Community Nurses are able to attend to wound care, removal of sutures, blood pressure or blood sugar levels. Community Health is now located in the old Physiotherapy room in the Activities Centre.

Continence Clinic

Advice on bladder and bowel management problems is available at the Bingara Community Health Centre. No referral is necessary. For further information contact Sharon Price or Betty Parsons on 67280130.

Healthy Lifestyle Group

The Healthy Lifestyle Group will recommence once the MPS opens. Dates will be advertised. Everyone will be welcome to come along. Hearing Service (Hearing Tests)

Hydrotherapy

Travel by hospital bus to Hydrotherapy Pool at Barraba, each Monday afternoon. Depart Front Car Park of the Bingara Hospital 1.00pm, returning approximately 4.00pm. Cost $3 (pool entry). GP Referral is essential. Contact the Physiotherapy Department on 6728 0134.

Mental Health Services / Social Worker

These address mental illness, Alcohol and other Drugs, Problem Gambling and Counselling Information and support. Information regarding referrals can be obtained from Community Health Staff on 67280130 or by phoning 1300 669 757.

Palliative Care Support

The Community Nurses are available to assist with advice and support for Palliative care clients, their carers and families. Please phone 67280130 for an appointment.

Physiotherapy

The Physiotherapist is available Monday, Wednesday and Friday at the Bingara Community Hospital. Clients must have a written referral from GP or Specialist. Please phone 6728 0134 for an appointment (please leave a message).
