Bingara embraces Relay for Life

November 20, 2008

Rain on the day of Bingara’s Relay for Life did nothing to dampen the enthusiasm of the 250 people who took part.  Twenty teams, including 24 cancer survivors took part in the event at Gwydir Oval.  Preliminary estimate of money raised is about $10,000, which will go to Cancer Research.

Bingara Relay for Life organiser, Kelly Holland, said the day, including the rain, was "fantastic". "The kids had a fantastic time, belly flopping in puddles," she said.
