Bingara Lions invite community help to grow markets

July 14, 2016

On the fourth Saturday of each month, stall holders, mostly from out of town, set up ‘shop’ in Maitland Street, and sell their wares from 8.30am to 12.30pm.

These markets are organised by the Bingara Lions Club, and the club is inviting local residents to participate and support these monthly markets.

“Families are invited to have a trading table of handmade goods and vegetables, or a roadside car boot sale of excess items, for a charge of $5.00 to cover insurance,” Lions market organiser, Chris List, said.

This could be a solution for people who would like to have a garage sale, but feel they don’t have enough to warrant holding one, or don’t want people coming to their house.

Besides the usual traders from out of town, there will be the Lions Raffles for a meat tray valued at $50.00. Lions will have their barbecue trailer in town to provide a sausage sizzle.

The Senior citizens Centre will be open for tea and coffee and usual sale items.

To register a stall, please phone Chris: 0418 650 413 or 0457 695 662, or Tony on 6724 1951.

The Lions club appreciates the support of all the townspeople in raising funds to be spent in our community for local causes and families in need.

Bingara Lions club is always happy to welcome new members and visitors to their social meetings on the first Tuesday of each month.
