The Bingara Pony Club are again the proud winners of the Jamboree Zone 8 Cup, after a very closely contested competition.

The three day event held over three days at Upper Horton saw the Bingara Team ride to the best of their ability to come out on top overall. Their rivals, Gravesend Pony Club followed close behind and were at one point during the last few hours  ahead of Bingara by less then a point.Garah/Boomi also put in a phenomenal effort and gave the two teams a run for their money.

Despite a serious fall from Maddie Coombes, and eliminations in events which Bingara would ordinarily have had in the bag, the team rode onto victory on Wednesday afternoon. This is the second year running which Bingara Pony Club have won.  What is very encouraging is the amount of young riders competing for Bingara.  Next year’s bout will be one to watch.

Upper Horton did a fabulous job of hosting the event with no protests being lodged, for the first time in years.  Congratulations to the Club and their helpers.
