Bingara youngsters get a taste of tennis

Junior Tennis looks a lot more likely to return to Bingara following a great attendance at a free Junior Tennis Coaching clinic at the Sporting Club on Friday afternoon.

Ken Wray from Tennis NSW led the coaching, and over 60 youngsters took part in the Hotshots program.  The coaches took the children through warming up, rolling tennis balls and hitting the balls, all of which the children seemed to enjoy.

Bingara’s children turned out in force for a free Junior Tennis Coaching Clinic on Friday. They are pictured with their coaches from Tennis NSW.

The coaching was aimed at 7 to 14 year old children, and younger siblings were also accommodated.

It is several years since Junior Tennis was played in Bingara, and reformation of Junior Tennis would provide an opportunity for both girls and boys to play, and strengthen the tennis section of the Sporting Club.
