The Roxy Volunteers were awarded Volunteer of the Year. The 20008 Roxy volunteers were Mervyn and Judy Hall, Hansi and Erica Michenfelder, Shirley Rane, Jenny Mead, Suzy Webber, Heather Jones, Martin Hansford, John and Wendy Wearne, Fay Macartney, Carmen Southwell, Joan Bush, Marie Warren and Susanne Hughes.
The Roxy is a vital component of the Bingara community that has become renowned across the region for the high quality of events and services it has to offer.
The volunteers play an integral role in the daily operations including box office and ticketing, marketing and promotion, front of house management, catering and candy bar, back stage management, projection of films, ushering, and cleaning and maintenance.
During 2008, close to 10,000 people have attended an event at the Roxy, made possible only through the generosity of the volunteers.
