The Saturday night annual fundraiser dinner held at the showground saw proceeds from the two course meal go to The Dixon Family.

“I would like to thank everybody who supported us on Saturday night, especially the families who donated food and all the volunteers who cooked, served up and to my special little ones who spent most of the night washing up thank you,” said organiser Sonia Coombes.

‘We managed to raise a $1000 to help support this family.”

Despite a slow start to the day due to the overnight rain, the Sunday draft went well with 146 runs for the day.

Rebecca Palmer once again managed to win the 17 and under 21 yrs draft but this time with her horse Funny Girl with a score of 67.

The 8 under 11yrs Campdraft was the last draft of the day and Grace Palmer with her horse Denny was the winner receiving a score of 61.

“I personally would like to congratulate all the winner and place getters over the weekend and thank their parents for their support,” said Sonia.

“Without your support we would not be able to run this charity Campdraft & sporting weekend.

“In the past we have always been able to give a generous donation to the local “Bingara Care for Kids Charity “ and this year was no exception.  With our amazing sponsorship and support we will be able to donate $7000, year to date this will be a total of $26000.

This is to support families that have ill or injured children that need to leave the local area to see doctors or medical specialist that Medicare or private health funds do not cover.

A big congratulations and thanks must go to the Campdraft & Sporting MRC, workers and volunteers for their tireless efforts and organisation.
