Camper Van and Motor Home Club rally organisers invite community involvement

August 23, 2007

During October 2008, Bingara will be host to around 2000 travellers when the motor home rally comes to town.

Between Mondays October 13 and 20 the motor homes will take over the Bingara Show grounds.  "We expect between 1000 to 2000 vehicles to be on the site," rally coordinator, David Fricke, said.

"Throughout the week club members will be involved in a host of activities on the grounds and within the community.  The majority of these activities will be organized within the club however community members and groups will be approached to assist with aspects of the program."

"On Saturday October 18, 2008, the rally will hold an open day which will enable members of the community to visit the grounds and take a good look at what being a motor home owner is all about.

"Local businesses and community groups will be an integral part of the rally. David Rose is the local contact for the rally manager. Should your business or group require details on how they can get involved give David a call," Mr. Fricke said.

"During our recent visit to Bingara to get the planning under way we have been impressed by the feeling within the community towards our rally.

"We thank everyone for making us so welcome and the positive way they have approached our taking over their town in October 2008. This will be a great occasion for both Bingara and our motor home club," Mr. Fricke said.
