Closures across Bingara & the Gwydir Shire

Closures were inevitable in the face of the insidious Corona Virus which is impacting physically, emotionally and economically across the globe.

Here’s some of the effects on the Gwydir Shire:

Bingara Sporting Club

The Bingara Sporting Club will be closed until further notice, but the Chinese Restaurant will be open for takeaway.


Ceramic Break Sculpture Park Exhibition

Warialda tourist attraction Ceramic Break Sculpture Park announced it would be postponing an exhibition in the wake of the pandemic.

Gallery Manager and Events Coordinator Barbara Mills said “We are sorry to announce the postponement of our first exhibition, Castlemaine Legends. The exhibition will be moved to a later date due to the Coronavirus.”

Ceramic Break Sculpture Park will remain open to the public during regular business hours and by appointment, but Mills asks that anyone who feels sick or at risk to stay at home.


The Bingara Show, Warialda Show & Warialda Honey Festival have been cancelled.

Bingara CWA wish to advise that our morning teas at the Senior Citizens Rooms and business deliveries are cancelled.
