Community College helping seniors stay safe online

February 13, 2020

Don’t let scary stories about the internet put you off enjoying all the great things that you can do online. To celebrate NSW Seniors Festival this month, Community College Northern Inland is hosting a free internet safety workshop for local seniors on Monday 17th February.

The Staying Safe Online workshop will help you stay safe and feel confident when using the internet, teaching you how to avoid scams, protect your privacy, and safely make payments online.

Community College Northern Inland is a proud Network Partner of the Be Connected program, a free Australian Government initiative for over 50s, helping everyone to get the most out of going online.

The Staying Safe Online workshop supports the work of Australia’s eSafety Commissioner by spreading online safety messages and promoting the use of digital technology.

Staying Safe Online will be held at:

  • Bingara Community College on Monday 17th February and at
  • Warialda Community College on Tuesday 18th February from 12.30pm-3.30pm.
