Community embraces Christmas Carnival

November 29, 2010

The community has embraced the opportunity for a Christmas Celebration.
Lions have donated $400 towards lollies, prizes and expenses.

Bingara and District VISION 20/20 are hosting a movie for families to enjoy at the Roxy Theatre following the Carnival. This movie will screen at 8pm and will be free with treats.

Touriandi residents will put together the lolly bags for the kids. The lollies have been gladly donated by H Fay & Sons.

Janelle Thompson, Solicitor has also contributed financially to the Celebration, as has the Staff of New England Mutual, who have each made a personal donation.

Bingara Preschoolers and Bingara Central School students will perform.

You can also check out the latest craze when Alex Stones and her girls perform Zumba routines.

Volunteers will man a special ‘water zone’ for kids and the big guy in red will call in for that ‘special talk’ and photos.

If you would like to give non perishable food, or Christmas gifts you can take these to any of the following:

  • Bingara Preschool, Bingara Central School or Gwydir Shire Office. Or you can bring along these items on the night of the Carnival.

These donations will be greatly appreciated and will make someone’s Christmas special.

Kimberley Apthorpe and her young friends have also volunteered to run kids’ activities. There will be more prizes and heaps of fun for our kids.

So come along, be part of the community and celebrate Christmas in
Beautiful Bingara
