The 2007 Orange Festival was easily the most successful ever held, and attended by at least 1500 people. Officially opened by Member for Northern Tablelands, Richard Torbay, the Festival was highlighted by a huge parade featuring the Inverell Antique Car Club, a record number of market stalls, top quality music in the street and on stage and plenty of activities for children – especially the street entertainment.

Popular highlights included Inverell’s Summer Swing Dance Studio, the everpopular dog show, and the combined pipe bands. The event was expertly compered throughout the day by 2NZ’s Greg Kachel, and businesses reported strong sales.

Organisers are promising even bigger and better for this year.
