CWA back to where it started: Bingara

March 26, 2014

Members of the Gwydir Group CWA recently hosted a casual ‘Meet and Greet’ picnic in Bingara to gauge interest in starting up the CWA’s oldest branch, Bingara, which has been in recess for some time.

CWA
Samantha Bermel (Bingara), Dawn Toohey (Weemelah), Marg Foster (Bingara), Gail Kirby (Gwydir Group President), Sarah Heaton (Bingara), and Roma Bundock (State Vice President), and in front, Sally Neville, Marjorie Solomon, Joan Morris and Tanya Heaton, all of Bingara.

Organisers were very pleased with the response, and a meeting to consider the re-formation of the branch will be held at Bingara Community College, Riddell Street, this Saturday, March 29, at 10 am.

“A warm invitation is extended to all interested women in the Bingara area who would like to attend this meeting,” Gwydir Group Publicity Officer, Iris Barry, said.
