Details of ANZAC services and the parade

April 23, 2008

The Dawn Service will commence at 5.50am sharp at the Bingara Memorial Gardens in Finch Street.

A refresher and breakfast will be available following the service in the RSL Club to those attending.

This year, owing to the fact that age and failing health has affected many in our community, Sub-Branch members included, the march will be shortened accordingly. Assembly will be at the western side of Cunningham street at 10.30am, proceeding down Maitland street, left into Finch street and dismissing at the Memorial Gardens for an 11am.

Commemorative Service.

A parade marshall will guide you into positions for order of the march.

Note: To persons wishing to march wearing medals as a descendant of a deceased veteran, fix medals to the right chest only of your attire.

Wreaths

Please advise Sub-Branch President David Young before the service so that he may call the layers by name or association.

Luncheon

At the completion of the 11am service the RSL Club will open for business and the ANZAC Day luncheon will be served. Pre-lunch seating 1200 to 1230 hours. For visitors and guests of non-invited persons there is a nominal cost of only $14.50 per head. Lunch reccomended.

The guest speaker for the luncheon will be announced on the day. I assure you that you will find the address different, informative, interesting and entertaining. "Oldies, Don’t miss it!"
