Dream team for North West Theatre Company

June 14, 2015

After recent auditions for “Lipstick Dreams”, the North West Theatre Company is proud to confirm its next production.

Set in the 1980s in a small New South Wales country town the girls at the local hairdressing salon have got more than perms and trimming fringes on their minds.

After their wonderful portrayals of the Colonel and Willing the butler, in “Murdered to Death”, Nedine Young and Johnette Walker have the chance this time to play women. They will be joined in this play by two young Bingara women who are new to NWTC, Rebecca Turner and Nikita Frazer.

This production also welcomes back Ben Daley as Director. Ben, from Inverell, was most recently seen at the Roxy last year in the role of Jeffrey, the concert pianist in “The Curious Savage” but he has been involved with NWTC for 10 years.

Ben played Alan Courtney and Mr Gillet in “Seven Little Australians” in 2005 and directed “Hansel and Gretel Lost in Sherwood Forest” in 2009. Ben is currently directing a production of “Moulin Rouge” in Inverell.

“The North West Theatre Company is really excited about this production,” said producer Ros Moulton, “particularly as it also Dream team for North West Theatre Company contains music. Our audiences have been asking us for music for some time and now we finally have some voices, and what great voices!”

‘Lipstick Dreams’ is on at the Roxy in September. There will be two evening performances on September 12 and 19 and two matinees on September 13 and 20.
