Entries arriving for Bingara Annual Tennis Open

May 29, 2008

Organisers of the Bingara Annual Tennis Open are negotiating with the weather gods in the hope of good weather for the event.

Programs for the tournament, to be held in Bingara on June 7, 8 and 9, have been sent to players and entry information is also on www.bingarasportingclub.com.au

Tournament secretary, Gay Mack told the Advocate that so far, entries have been received from Canberra, Dubbo, Sydney and from Queensland,  with entries being received daily.

The Bingara Sporting Club, with Kevin and Gail Galvin at the helm, have been getting the courts into shape for the weekend.

The question of rain remains. Elders website predict a low (25-50%)  chance of rain on Sunday, June 8, and a medium (50-75%) chance of rain on the Monday.

Predictions can change though, and rain before the event would help with court preparation.
