Friday to Sunday April 2-4, 2021 – Bingara Anglers Club hosted – Easterfish fishing Competition

A Bingara tradition which has for many years drawn former Bingara residents back to the town, continues this weekend. Easterfish has been going for many years.

Originally started as Octoberfish, it became Easterfish in the 1980s after the closed season for Murray cod (September to December) was introduced.

Fish can be caught in the Gwydir River or Copeton Dam. There are a lot of prizes on offer, both in the fishing competition and the Anglers Club Monster raffle.
