Fifty three golfers from Wallsend, Raymond Terrace, Tea Gardens, Ryleston, Forster, Grafton, Taree, Old Barr, Hawkes Nest, Wyoming, Bundeburg, South West Rocks, Morrisett, Kurri Kurri, Ullabulla, St. George Basin, Aberdeen,Kandos and Muswellbrook joined with players from Bingara, Barraba and Warialda for this year’s competition which finished with a presentation dinner at the Bingara Sporting Club on Friday evening, October 2.
Competitions were held in Bingara on Monday September 28, Barraba on Tuesday September 29, Warialda on Thursday October 1 and back to Bingara on Friday,October 2.
Winner of the Mac Dufty Memorial Shield for Men was Greg Crawshaw from St. George Basin; Runner-up was Ray Kearney from Wallsend and third place went to Bill Poole of Morrisett.
Winner of the Mac Dufty Memorial Shield for Women was Susan Mason of Kandos, Runner-up was Kath Guyer of Old Barr and third place went to Tracey Fullbrook of Bingara.
Winner of the NSW Veterans’ Golf Shield for Men was Greg Crawshaw from St. George Basin.
Winner of the NSW Veterans’ Golf Shield for Women was Betty Barnier of Forster.
