Garden Club shows off local gardens to Motorhome visitors

October 11, 2008

Bingara Garden Club members will welcome all members of the Campervan and Motorhome Club of Australia to town by hosting a garden tour next Tuesday, October 14.

"We welcome all the Motorhome visitors to Bingara and hope their stay is very worthwhile and enjoyable," Garden Club spokesperson, Joan Bush, said.

The itinerary for the tour is: Meet at Keith and Shirley Rane’s garden, at 80 Finch Street, at 9.00 am.  From there, the tour moves to Gordon and June Fletcher’s garden which is nearby, also in Finch Street.

Morning tea will be held in the lovely garden of May Williams, and from there, the tour will continue to the beautiful garden of John and Nancy Fraser near Warialda, where lunch will be available too.

If time permits, the group may visit to another garden in the Warialda township.  "A bus has been organised for the motorhome tour, and preference will be given to our visitors first for a seat on the bus," Joan said.  "However, it will not be known until Monday night if there will be any spare seats available."

Anyone who would like to be put on the waiting list is asked to ring Joan Bush on 6724 1976. The first to book will be the first selected is seats are available.

The cost of the tour is $20, which includes entry to the gardens, bus fare, morning tea and lunch.

Members of the public are also invited to join the tour and follow the bus by private car, the cost being $13.

Bookings are essential to go on the tour, either by private car or bus, for catering purposes.

"The gardens are looking exceptionally beautiful at the moment, so take a day off and enjoy the experience," Joan said.
