Getting ready for Jack!

September 18, 2008

The North West Theatre Company will present Jack and the Beanstalk as a family Christmas pantomime. It will feature at the Roxy Theatre from November 29 to December 7. ‘Jack’ promises to be another high quality spectacular from the NWTC which will delight young and old.

Even with the magic of Christmas, such productions do not just materialise. A lot of planning, skill, and effort will be needed to lift ‘Jack’ out of the story book and onto the stage.

Director, Mary Woodroofe has written the script, which takes the traditional story, and uniquely adapts it for an Australian audience. Final touches are currently being crafted in readiness for the auditions.

Auditions for the pantomime are to be held at The Roxy on Saturday September 20 from 1.30pm. Dancers, actors, and stage crew, of all ages are required. Everyone is encouraged to come along to the Roxy to take a look and try out. If you have any queries please contact Director Mary Woodroofe 6724 1257, Producer Ros Moulton on 67241316, or Publicity, Carmen Southwell on 67241542.
