After taking the very tough decision to close the Gwydir News, and after the publication of what was to be the last edition on July 3, owner Nancy Capel received an enquiry about taking on the paper.
Discussions on the sale of the paper are underway, and further details should be known in a few weeks.
In the meantime, it is business as usual, although the Bingara office will be closed on Thursday.
“We are confident that The Gwydir News will continue under new, fresh and energetic ownership,” said owner Nancy Capel.
