The first weekend audiences were delighted by SHOWCASE 2018 ‘Under the Spotlights!’ the North West Theatre Company’s current production at the Roxy Theatre. “Fantastic variety!”, “Amazing talent, especially the young people!”, “A real ‘showcase’ of theatrical styles from across the ages!”. And “My kids especially loved it!” were some of the audience’s exit responses.
There are two more shows in the SHOWCASE 2018 program. On Saturday July 21 and on Sunday July 22 both at 2pm the SHOWCASE will be presented and you can book now to ensure best seats. The attached picture shows the cast for this production. Several of them were making their stage debuts and having a ball doing it.
“We set ourselves the task of finding segments from notable longer plays, some short plays, some musical numbers and some poetry to make up this program,” said North West Theatre Company President, Rick Hutton. “We also set the challenge to our members to discover some Directing talent and six new Directors stepped up to grab the chance. I am delighted by their efforts, their imagination and their patience.” Rick said.
The cold winter days were left outside the Roxy with the air conditioning making the theatre beautifully warm and comfortable.
