Great fun in store at the Show

March 19, 2014

There will be plenty for the young and young-at-heart at this year’s Bingara Show on March 22.  Bingara Library will be hosting a craft and interactive session with youngsters and seniors in the Supper Room between 12 and 2pm.

To celebrate Senior’s week, kids are asked to bring along a ‘grandfriend’ and add their hands to the ‘hand in hand’ mural. Parents are welcome as well.

The animal Petting Zoo will be at the Show again this year. This proved to be a huge success with children AND parents in 2013.

There will be chickens, ducks, pigs, lambs and all sorts of animals to cuddle; most will be available for sale.

Bingara Vet Clinic is sponsoring a pet show at 12.30pm with largest and smallest pet, best pup and kitten, most unusual pet and a number of other categories – there will be prizes, so bring your pet along – you can obtain a ‘pass’ from the Show to go home and get your pet.

Slippry SirkusSlippry Sirkus will be hosting a number of workshops for children aged 8 to 15 years. These workshops are packed with a range of fun skills to learn including juggling, plate spinning, balancing, unicycle, stilts and using hoops.

As spaces are limited you are requested to please book with Alyse Steiger – asteiger@gwydir.nsw.gov.au prior to March 20.

And of course – there is no show without sideshows. This year the dodgem cars will be here along with many other rides and activities – keep your eyes out in the week leading up to the show for the sideshows as they arrive on the showground.
