This Saturday night there will be great food as well as great music provided by the band “Those Gals” for the Cystic Fibrosis fundraiser at the Bingara RSL Club. When Jessica Hawkins’ young son, Nicholas, was born with C.F. last year, it had a profound effect on his family in both Warialda and Bingara.
On Saturday night Marilyn Dixon, who is Nick’s great grandmother, will provide a two course meal for $18.00. Top quality music will follow, with great raffle prizes, spot dance prizes etc, on the night.
Saturday night will be the first fundraiser organised by Suzette Rogers, Marilyn Childs and Roslyn Thompson (nee Childs) prior to them participating in a 3 state car rally in October this year.
Despite there being no cure for Cystic Fibrosis, Cystic Fibrosis Australia receives no government funding so the car rally is about raising funds as well as awareness. The mission of all fundraising is to ensure that every person living with C.F. is entitled to the very best care, whether they live within walking distance of a major C.F. clinic, or in the most remote part of Australia.
It is hoped that both the Warialda and Bingara communities will come together at the Bingara RSL this Saturday night to support this great cause. * For those only wanting to enjoy the music, there will be a small $5.00 cover charge.
