Grinner starts a new chapter

April 8, 2017

Bingara Central School was a very busy place last Thursday, with activities involving the whole school.

After 35 years, the always cheerful Trevor Galvin will be busy in retirement.

During the whole school assembly, the school principal, Mrs Brooke Wall took the opportunity to present Mr Trevor Galvin groundsman and handyman extraordinaire, with his retirement gift and a service medal in recognition of his 35 years working for the Department of Education.

Many of the parents who were present at the assembly knew Mr. Galvin when they too, attended Bingara Central School.

Earlier in the morning Kindergarten, Years 1 and 2 had their Easter Hat Parade. The hats on parade were wonderful and the children showed them off beautifully. Also attending were the children from preschool and the Toy Library.

To make the morning very special it was also grandparent’s morning, which included a delicious morning tea.
