Gwydir’s threatened species

April 29, 2016

Expressions of Interest sought… Would you be interested in taking part in the formation of a group to research/help care for our Native animals?

We are seeking expressions of interest from any member of the community who would like to learn more about the Gwydir Shire’s threatened or vulnerable species – initially the Koala and Brush Turkey but with the possibility down the track of including other species which members may be interested in working with or learning to care for.

Northern Slopes Landcare Association currently has some funding available to kickstart the group and perhaps cover training of interested persons in the care and welfare of these and other native animals.

If you are interested in becoming a part of this group, please contact Shelley McDouall at Northern Slopes Landcare on 02 6724 2052, or by email at cso@gwydir.nsw.gov.au
